If you ever have to replace the bearings on your mini lathe this is good information.

First know the numbers of your bearings, they are on the face of the bearing.  Replace the bearings with a quality bearing.  This will cost you in the neighborhood of sixty-five to seventy dollars, but you will not be replacing bearings for a very long time, if ever.  The bearings used for the club mini lathe were SKF Explorer #6004 2RSJEM and 6005 2RSJEM.

Observe how you remove the bearings so that you can reassemble them correctly.  Never force bearings in or out with a steel hammer.  Use a block of wood against the bearing so that you do not damage the bearing or the sleeve that the bearing seats into.

Replacing the bearings yourself can be done and will certainly save you money.  Money you can spend on new tools or special woods.
